Go Weather Review

I have been tweaking my phone for a while now and wanted a decent weather widget.  It needed to be something a little better than an image of what the weather was doing outside which is what some do, frankly I can look out of the window to do that.  I didn’t really want fantastic animations etc. but something that looked the business would be good.

I have installed a number of clocks and quite like the HTC clock widget so I downloaded Go Weather.  What a treat.  The weather widget has a clock that patches straight into the settings when you tap on it.  I know this should be the sensible thing for all clocks to do but in reality not all clocks do this, forcing you to run through your phone’ settings in order to set the alarm.  The detail provided from the main widget is vast.  The time, location (but did you really need this?), Date, Day, temperature, wind speed and direction and an icon representing the current weather.  There is a great deal of information presented for a widget and its a all shown in a very orderly, tidy and eye catching way.

Touch the right side of the widget where the weather information is presented and you are off into the Go Weather App which displays very presentable animations depicting the current weather. It also presents you with a 3 day forecast along the bottom of the screen while the main display renders the current weather onto the animation.  Hit the “more” button and even more detail is presented to you including barometer, humidity, visibility, sunrise & sunset do you need any more! This is a great App and a must have for any Android phone.
